>>> So..Why are we offering this unusual situation?
We have so many couples who call and want to come visit the area to look for houses, vacation, visit family in the hospital or locally and really don’t have the budget to pay big bucks for this type of quality. So...Now you can rent either bedroom en-suite, have exclusive rights to living area outside of your suite and share the living room, dining room and kitchen on a monthly basis. And yes, each en-suite will have a lock on the bedroom door to keep your space private and secure. Your rental share comes with bi-weekly housekeeping, all utilities, & cleaning supplies. Other than the damage deposit, there is NO nickel & diming here. We have rented the Monterey for as much as $2,200 + cleaning fee and have been nearly booked solid. I just thought I'd try this arrangement to see if it could help a few folks.
We have already had an overwhelming positive response to the concept and have couples on the waitlist for rentals. If this is something you would be interested in, please contact us for more details. You can even book for a month and leave after 2 weeks. It’s up to you!!!
We are waiting to answer your questions so please call us now!!
*Pets are welcome when renting the entire Monterey.

To start we stay only at B&B'S and cottages on our vacations because we like the peace and quite and nice surroundings...this place was just her home in a development. We paid over 2 months before our rental date as required by the owner 1 week prior to our arrival date they send us a 11 page contract to sign before they will give us the code to enter . I put up with this as they had our money..what a joke we got there it was under construction which we were never told.what a mess had to walk thru the area to get to our door which turned out to be 1/2 of their house not a separate Villa as the ad made it seem.it went on for the whole week were there..construction work starting as early as 7 am no consideration of us on vacation and found out this was the owner making the noise.as far as the contract there was. 3 page check list we had to sign stating that if we used more than the allotted rolls of toilet paper or any other items they would go and buy them and charge for the item and a $25 fee for going to the store...they took a $85 cleaning deposit from us I guess to make sure we would clean which of course we did prior to leaving. Even the dust and hairs that were on the floor when we arrived. When my deposit was refunded she said there was a ring around the tub and she charged us $45 to clean it..that's funny we only took showers. All the ceiling fans would wobble and make squeaking sounds so we had to turn them off. The beds were so uncomfortable we woke up with back aches and not too mention how noisy they were when you rolled over in your sleep..like a rock they were. The deposit we gave for security was to towards any damage which included in her contract if we were to turn the ac lower than 74 where it was set as it needed to stay at that temperature.there were signs all over how to cover the patio furniture. Etc....We have stayed in many nice homes during our vacations which are 2 times per year and were never treated this way. I signed more agreements here than when I bought my house.also got a flat from nails left in our parking spot from the construction truck...they do not treat you as a person on vacation to them this is a business. We did everything she asked keep lights on at certain times and turn them off when required..there were labels all over the kitchen showing the amount of plates etc...that were there and if missing when we left we would have been charged. STAY CLEAR OF THESE PEOPLE THEY ARE ONLY CONCERNED FOR THEMSEL

Awesome Summer Escape

I came across Vacation Home Rentals via a Realty website for vacations near Charleston, SC. I wanted to experience the natural beauty of live oaks and dripping Spanish moss and great shell beaches. Edisto came up as a great shell beach with natural beauty. We weren't as fortunate to find the shells, however the surrounding beauty of Edisto Island is something that everyone should experience in their lifetime. I especially enjoyed bicycling around the resort and beach areas. The lodge was very quiet and well insulated and equipped with all necessities. Not having to see a high rise hotel or traffic light was perfect. I would recommend this beautiful island to anyone and thank you, Wyndham Ridge for your courteousness and willingness to please, although this unit was indeed a private rental.

They don't tell you that you're not renting a house but a duplex with the owners on the other side of the wall. They had construction next door going till 10pm. The entrance is at the back of the house with no lighting around the side of the house so you can see at night. We were told 3 days into our stay that they had animal traps in the back yard like small bear traps that you step on. They told my wife that there are black widow spiders around the house so we felt the need to keep the kids inside all the time. They complained about a screaming child during the middle of the day. We ended up leaving 3 days early because this place was so bad. We had a good time though... when we weren't there. We did the DEEP cleaning like they asked before we left and they never gave us our money back for the deposit and cleaning fee that they promised they would. I would never stay there again and I wouldn't recommend anyone else to.
This is a fancy and upscale place. I had the luxury of staying here for free since I am related to the owner. The area itself is beautiful. What was supposed to be a month long stay in SC turned out to be a longer move.
You're gonna like it here! ~ Drew, Harrisburg PA
We enjoyed our vacation! Absolutely everything is provided and so...comfortable!
The setting is tropical and beautiful. The tall oaks and pines are great shade. We visited a national forest, 2 state parks and an abbey, a film festival and an organ concert in Charleston. ~ Caryl & Don, WA
Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay here. Our hosts were friendly and helpful without being intrusive and the Villa was perfect for our needs. It is compact yet perfectly arranged to maximize space and storage. They thought of everything - Kitchen items, linens, cleaning supplies, and even a beach bag! There is much to recommend in the area. We loved the Villa's central location and the quiet, beautiful neighborhood. Golfers will especially like the Pine Forest country club. Local restaurants. We especially liked the Mustard Seed, Tomatoes and NYC Pizza Dept. We visited Myrtle Beach, Savannah and Charlotte with friends. We also went to the beach on the Isle of Palms (great beach with exceptional facilities) attended Riverdogs baseball game and even golfed on Kiawah Island. What a perfect vacation!

What a wonderful base camp for our South Carolina vacation! It's a beautiful home! We found many shells on Sullivan's Island. Summerville is a very friendly, pretty town! Dave and Lesley, CO
We liked the Isle of Palms county beach park the best. $7/car, great beach...Forget Folly Beach! It is over run!
Magnolia Plantation is over priced, so is Middleton. Be sure to check out the county parks. some of them are gems. Charlestown Landing, Old Santee Canal Park and Hampton Plantation are all $4 each.
Cypress Gardens, great swamp. Charleston tea Gardens, beautiful area. When you visit Charleston parks in the visitors center parking garage. Take the Dash Bus to the battery and walk back. Great old houses. Parking garage is reasonable. ~ Gary, WA
We loved all the updated features and how at home we felt here because of this and the friendliness of the hosts. We would rate our stay a "10"! While here I would recommend you visit Folly Beach. it costs $7 to park but it's really pretty and the ocean is nice. Also we took a cooking class @ Charleston cooks downtown in the city. It was $25 pp and we learned about low-country cooking. We then got a generous lunch and dessert (of what we cooked) a glass of wine! It was awesome. We drove 1 1/2 hr to Savannah, beautiful city! and ate at Paula Deens Restaurant "Lady and sons" some of the best food. We walked the bridge downtown, it's 2.5 miles each way and wa awesome to do at night! You'll truly enjoy your stay in Summerville, at this property! ~ Krista & Eric
This Villa was the perfect! All of my family complimented how nice it was and they all asked me how I made such a great find! This whole stay was a blur, but I'm glad this property was here to escape to! Thank you!!!! Kelli & Anthony M.
What a charming place you have and the view from every window is lovely. It was coming home for us and we have enjoyed it very much. Our family thought the property was GREAT - you have really done a great job with it. Thanks for sharing your garden. ~ Janie, Greenville, SC
Thank you for offering such a fabulous place! It had everything I needed; even a salad spinner which is not common, but something I don't want to live without, as i eat lots of salads. It was quiet and private and yet extremely safe and comfy feeling for someone on their own as I was.
I loved Summerville and Charleston. I spend 1/2 day at the beach walkers park, which was quiet and gorgeous and free as it's closed during the week. It is on Kiawah Island, same direction as Folly Beach. ~ Judy H. Canada
What a lovely place to be! The quietness, the beautiful decor, the immaculate cleanliness - thoughtful touches throughout the Villa - who could ask for more.
We loved waking up to the birds singing and have enjoyed having a "home" to come back to each day after our ventures out. Everything we needed or wanted is here. Thank you so much for sharing with us. We hope to return! Vicki & Richard
While we basically only spent a little time at the Villa due due our Daughters giving birth and spending all of our days with her family I can tell that from what we experienced you could be very happy spending days & evenings at the Villa without ever leaving. It is a beautiful set up for four people with loads of room and all the comforts of home. I can only imagine how nice it must be in the spring and summer.
Looking forward to our stay next year as well and we hope we can enjoy more of the Villa. ~ Ken D, Swansea MA
We really enjoyed stay here! It was a great place to come back to and unwind after spending everyday with our daughter and 3 1/2 month old grandson! We were VERY comfortable here and it was soooo peaceful! ! Scott & Barb
I felt very safe and relaxed here - staying alone. It was quiet and very equipped. I enjoyed the historic district in Downtown Charleston and ate dinner at Magnolias...YUM!!
Drove about an hour to Beaufort, such a quaint small town with awesome old homes and interesting history. Very artsy town. Enjoyed the drive along the way also - all the pines and open space. Had good meals at Ruby Tuesdays! ~ Vicki, OH
What a really great place to stay - we enjoyed it immensely! It was close to all the places we wanted to go and nice to come back to in the evening and relax - very quiet. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us! ~ Arnie & Janet, Franklin PA
Had a very nice stay, thank you. The property was peaceful and quiet. Definitely like to come back and visit again sometime. Most everything we needed was here, nice convenience. Thanks again for everything. ~ Jody and Laurie, Michigan
We enjoyed our stay at! Everything was really cute. felt like we walked into a house from HGTV! Loved Summerville. We liked the fact that it was really close to everything and it was nice and private. Felt like home. Love Single Smile Cafe, great place to get coffee or chai tea! Had a great time at Folly Beach, Edisto Island and Magnolias. This is our second time in Charleston and we had an awesome time! ~ Scott and Johanne, PA
Very nice, a real value, Nice town with a lot of history and located not far from Charleston. Isle of Palms county park and beach was the best place for us. The villa is in a very nice and quiet neighborhood, truly very historical. also Christi was very helpful during our stay. Thanks for everything. ~ The Wards, OH
Our visit to the area was great. Weather in the 80's, Rain at night. spent 2 days in Charleston. What a nice city to visit. Had lunch at 82 Queen as suggested and loved it! Spent 2 days at Isle of Palms/Sullivans area. GREAT! We ate at Morgan Creek grill the first day - very good. The second day there we came back and tried Kelly's BBQ - Glad we did! Sculpture in the south happens to be here. Really liked poking around in Tomlinsons (souvenirs) ~ Dick and Nancy, NY

We were so fortunate to have found this place. I just happened to check craigslist and there it was. It is just as described and you have done a marvelous job of decorating and putting all the little touches in place. Next time I'll only bring a bag of clothes! Thank you so much for tending to every detail and we will recommend to our friends. Hope to come to Summerville again. ~ Pam, Ron & Justin S., SC

I had the great pleasure of spending 3 months in the property. What a beautiful home and setting. Bring your suitcase. Everything else that you could eve need or want or imagine is in the Villa.
The stay exceeded my expectations in every way possible. The owner was so hospitable and helpful, yet I had total privacy in my tropical setting among the pines and oaks of Summerville, SC. ~ Henry R.
Excellent! We loved our stay. The owners were accommodating and the property is absolutely gorgeous, even better than the photos and romantic. It wasn't far from a lot of the sites that we visited. We'd definitely come again next year!
Mark & Ellen Weiss, WI
We are snowbirds and stayed for 3 months this past winter. Spectacular. The property was close for all sightseeing. It was also private and entrance secluded. It's is a little walk from the parking area, but once inside it is so well decorated and vibrant. Comes highly reccommended by us! Jim and Sue, CT
