Satisfactory and nice value
April 28, 2014
We stayed in this house for four nights and were generally satisfied. It had sufficient room for us and was a really good value. The house was mostly well stocked with everything you need, like kitchen supplies (which is what I always find particularly helpful when I'm staying in a house for an extended time and don't want to eat out every meal). But we were there at the end of a time when lots of people had stayed there without much break in between, so some supplies either weren't where they were supposed to be (we had to put sheets on the futon and pull-out and the ones that were supposed to go on those, according to the email sent to us, weren't in the closet or weren't complete as a set) or weren't stocked at all (no soap for baths, for example). The house has a few updates but shows its age in some places, and the linens were just so-so (either kind of old or not high quality). That was fine, though, because the price for the rental was so reasonable. So I'd rather pay a little less and not have really pricey linens than the other way around. I also told the owner that the binder with information needs to be updated on some details, such as how to work the DVD player in the living room. Overall, did the job and was a very nice value.
Cathy, thanks for your feedback. We do our best to keep the house stocked. After your departure, we did find that the soap was in fact in the hall closet - but someone had put a bunch of towels on top of the bars of soap. I apologize that you were unable to find these. We did also update the instructions on the operation of the Television and DVD player. We enjoyed having you as a guest and hope you will consider staying with us again in the future!

This property is situated in the ideal location for all sporting activities. Within walking distance of Fry's and Walmart. The house is very spacious, clean and comfortable. The owner is fantastic to deal with.

What's the one sentence that describes your experience?
Being at home away from home. This was important to me as over the years we justify making compromises when we vacation. I decided to find accommodation's that resembled our home, Multiple rooms, bathrooms and living space. I lucked out with this rental. All of the conditions pre -established were met plus. The owner was very quick to respond to inquires and correcting any minor problems. All things considered, we loved the location of this property and were thorougly satisfied and I have already booked for next year, at about the same time but, this time for 1 month instead of 3 weeks. Laura, the owner, was very open to supplying next year, a couple of bicycles to allow us to visit the beauty of our local surroundings in Tempe.
Review from Derek (4/2011 Stay):
"Perfect for business traveler"
I was in town for a conference at aSU and prefer not to stay in noisy hotels. The rental was perfect for my needs: spacious, quiet, comfortable, and with reliable broadband internet. The location is close to grocery stores and the freeway/airport, so getting around was convenient. I'd recommend the rental both for business travel and for families, since the house is actually fairly large and is laid out in a way that could easily accommodate a group. The kitchen was well stocked for a rental too!
Review from Kurtis (Nov 2010 Stay):
My buddies and I were in Phoenix last week for a baseball tournament. This was my first time renting a house during my annual stay. When looking for a rental home you are looking for a few basic essentials: great price, comfortable living space, and all the amenities and comfort of home. The property on E. Huntington Drive surpassed my expectations! The owner (Laura), was responsive from my initial inquiry, and throughout the process. She was extremely quick to respond to every email or phone call that was made. The home was more than enough space for 4 men with tons of luggage and baseball equipment. The decor was great on the inside, and the house is centrally located to all of the major cities cities in the Phoenix area. If you are staying in the Phoenix/Tempe area I would highly recommend using this home for your vacation or business trip.
Review from Jo (January 2011 Stay):
This house is amazing. Warm, cozy, comfortable and safe. Everything you could ask for in a "home away from home". Very reasonably priced. Perfect location and easy to find. Laura does not miss a thing when furnishing her homes for her guests. I have traveled a lot and can honestly say this was by far the best.
