Description of the Turrialba vacation home rental
On the bank of the the Rio Colorado, this house allows one the opportunity to enjoy local attractions, such as the central farmers market, CATIE, botanical garden, white water rafting, and be in a typical tico neighbourhood . A large deck overlooks the river, a perfect setting for reading or relaxing, and at night the sound of rushing water is accompanied by frogs and night birds in the 40 foot bamboo trees lining the river. A large swimming pool and several "pulperías" are a 5 minute walk away; the town centre and all shopping a 15 minute walk. Recommended for those who want to appreciate the local culture and also have access to all tourist attractions and shopping easily.

Unaccceptable

November 11, 2012

On arrival at this house, the next door neighbor/manager was replacing a blown circuit breaker. The toilet had been turned off and wouldn't stop running after I turned it back on. The kitchen and bath were filthy with insects and insect droppings in the silverware drawer and a dried out blue-brown stringy fungoid mass in the coffee filter. We didn't stay around to check the linens. Instead we checked into the Turrialba Bed and Breakfast and had a wonderful stay with a terrific staff, nice room and grounds, daily breakfast and use of the communal kitchen.
