Description of the Vaison-la-Romaine vacation home rental
Spectacular views from every window, a charming, private courtyard, spacious rooms, central heating, a cozy wood burning stove, and air-conditioned bedrooms make Maison des Pèlerins - located within minutes of Vaison la Romaine - very inviting all year round.
In the truly Provencal village of Sablet - this historic home is a completely renovated, delightful melange of the highest quality modern amenities, convenience and traditional Provencal character.
The decor uses beautiful local materials together with the craftsmanship of local artisans, creating the warmth and ambiance of a traditionally Provencal home - yet light, airy and very comfortable. Wood-shuttered windows in the living room, dining room and kitchen look out over the rooftops of Sablet, across the vineyards, to the Dentelles de Montmirail and the neighboring villages of the Cote du Rhone wine producing region.

The living room is spacious – ideal for relaxing – .A restful separate corner provides the ideal spot for reading, or catching up on correspondence. The wood stove in the living room adds warmth and coziness on cool days.
Conveniently located on the ground level is a Powder room with toilet and hand basin.
The formal dining room is will comfortably seat up to six guests, well supplied with china, glassware, serving pieces and table linen.
The fully equipped kitchen is a delight to be in! Traditional cabinetry and tile work create a kitchen that is as good to look at as it is to work in. High quality appliances include a five burner cook top, wall oven (convection/conventional), microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator/freezer as well a full array of cookware. A comfortable seating area for breakfast or more casual dining.
Upstairs, in the oldest part of the house – tucked away under beamed ceilings are two full bedrooms. One with an ensuite shower and hand basin and the other with a full bathroom adjacent – including both bath and shower as well as toilet and had basin.

All bathrooms have been remodeled and are tiled with either local marble (ensuite) or travertine stone (powder room and full bath).

The bedrooms are furnished and decorated for comfort, rest and relaxation. Both are furnished with king sized beds and have windows that look out over the tiled rooftops of Sablet, the nearby vineyards and the neighboring village of Seguret perched on a hillside.
