September 26, 2015
My family and I (6 all together ~ including my 4 year old son) stayed September 22-25th 2015. I inquired about the property and immediately got a response. When I decided to book, the owner sent me an email detailing EVERY expense up front and told me what to expect when I got to the resort. There was no "hidden fees" and we were not even asked to attend any sort of promotional meeting. I really appreciated the communication and honesty of the owner. I booked about a month out and he even sent me a follow up email closer to when we were going asking if I had thought of any questions. Upon arriving we checked in within 10 easy minutes (the owner sent us a pre-registration form that saved a lot of time). The staff were kind and courteous. We originally had planned to stay in a 3 bedroom, but were moved to a 2 Bedroom deluxe (pull out sofa), a change the owner informed us of so we were not surprised when we got there. The condo was beautiful! Spacious and nicely decorated. With an awesome living space, huge dining room table, and a well appointed kitchen that had everything we needed. There was even a little welcome basket with popcorn and coffee. There was a nice side patio off of our room with a view of the lake. Both bedrooms had a very soft bed with clean linens and their own TVs. Both had nice sized closets and the master had a stacked washer and dryer in the unit. The master bedroom was nothing short of amazing. It was HUGE! with a desk and its own bathroom with a tiled shower. The great thing about this condo is everything is included. There were towels, and laundry soap, and dish washing soap, and coffee filters, and coffee, and plates and mugs, and even a hair dryer in each room. Beyond the room is the resort which is an amazing value! a small daily fee ($6 per unit per day) included an indoor pool, and outdoor pool, an adult only pool, hot tub, (Did I mention no need to bring pool towels? They provide them!), a playground, a miniature golf course, a game room, a fitness center, a computer room, a movie theater, and a movie rental section. Not that you would need to do any of those things. Colonial Williamsburg is only 7 minutes away, and this resort is located 2 minutes from Richmond Road and Monticello Avenue which are two of the main streets with many restaurants and shops. There is no shortage of things to do at the resort or near the resort. My only complaint is that I didn't stay longer! You shouldn't stay anywhere else.
