Area Information
Centrally located on Cape Cod, Harwich is an ideal setting for a family getaway. Less touristy and more relaxed than many of its neighbors, Harwich still provides a wide variety of things to do. Aquatic activities in town include canoeing, water-skiing, deep sea fishing and fresh water fly fishing. Sandy beaches welcome swimmers and sunbathers on the scenic Nantucket Sound. The Bell’s Neck Conservation area provides walking/hiking trails through marshland and tidal creeks, and is an excellent location for birding. Bicyclists should not miss the spectacular Cape Cod Rail Trail, which passes along cranberry bogs and salt marshes as it winds its way up the Cape.

Other activities include day trips to Nantucket or Monomoy Islands (departing from Harwich Port), performances of the nationally known Harwich Junior Theatre in West Harwich, taking in the Cape’s most elegant architecture and the charming Brooks Library (Harwich town center), or cheering the Harwich Mariners of the Cape Cod baseball league (home games at Harwich High School).

We've always loved visiting Cape Cod, and after searching for a home, we fell in love with this house. We wanted a large house on a secluded lot near a good public beach, and found exactly what we were looking for.

46 Earle Road, Harwich

We had a wonderful stay at 46 Earle Road, Harwich, MA and highly recommend it! It's spacious, and comfortable; beach is yards from the house, and it's convenient to all of our Cape favorite spots. Our grandchildren love it there, and enjoy the freedom of running around outside at will, and having the space to play. It's a gem of a place!!

Harwich house

July 21, 2014

we enjoyed this week stay in Harwich-house was great for teens and young kids alike. lots of room and master suite was very large and private. other bedrooms on the smaller side but really didn't matter because most of time spent at beach 5 houses away. VERY well equipped kitchen. GREAT circular driveway of you have a boat trailer! 3 bathrooms too!

Excellent location

August 14, 2013

Excellent location. The beach was a short walk and it was a very nice beach. The house is large and the floor plan is good for a family with older children. The rooms are rather spread out so it might not be good with small children. The yard is very overgrown and it is woodsey, not very inviting to sit out in or play in.

Owner's reply:

You've touched on two of the features that first attracted us to this house: the proximity to a wonderful sandy beach and the natural setting of the lot. We left most of the lot in its more natural 'woodsy' state to provide some privacy and to maintain the feeling of a retreat, although (as you point out) it meant not creating a lawn or other obvious play area on the property. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review, and we hope you enjoyed your stay at our home!
