July 14 is Bastille Day, or as the French say “La Fête Nationale” or the “National Celebration.” Get inspired to get a little history and take a tour of Paris. The city is full of romantic, charming, and down right sexy vacation rental homes that are perfect for a second honey moon or a family vacation.

This 2 bedroom apartment in Paris is filled with decidedly french accents. This is European apartment living as i should be. From the stenciled paint details on the walls to the kitchen color scheme, tiny stylish touches add up to a very french experience. The vacation home has a king bed master suite as well as a children’s room with three additional beds. This is plenty of space to vacation romantically as a couple and enjoy having your children along.

The location is spectacular for soaking in the french culture and history. You’ll have a great city lights view at night to enjoy while dining in on meats, cheeses, breads, and wines from the local street market. Or take a evening stroll to see some more historical landmarks that are a few steps from your door. Just outside the vacation home is the famous  L’église Sainte-Marie-Madeleine, a Roman Catholic church with history dating back to Napoleonic times. The locals simply call it La Madeleine, and mass is still held here regularly.

You’ll also be in a prime spot for visiting Montholon Park. Keep a few history notes up your sleeve and pretty soon you’ll be feeling like a local. Bastille Day commemorates the storming of the Bastille, the prison that came to be a symbol of the authoritarian monarchy. French main streets are filled with parades of military men and women on this day. Allied troops such as the British Royal Horse Artillery have even participated in the festivities in the past.
