Apple festivals are is juicy abundance. The National Apple Festival is in Pennsylvania, near historic Gettsyburg. If you’re into the more traditional apples and pie eating, head to the Brushy Mountain Apple Festival in Wilkesboro, North Carolina. This fest promises southern fried apple pies. Check out the Apple Butter Festivals in Virginia and West Virginia for a creamy twist on apple goodness. The prize winning apple butter will sure be a lot easier to pack in your suitcase than a prize pie!
The Canaan Valley is a great spot to settle to get in the middle of the apple-liciousness. This mountain cabin is stocked to the max for a family of foodies. Kid under 10 are free, so that makes a great trip for families of young foodies.
