Last Hoorah of Summer, Head to the Beach!

Labor Day marks the time when we trade in sandals and white skirts for navy blue loafers and fall slacks. Before you pack your cute shoes away, take one last beach vacation and stay in the comfort of “home” in one of these great vacation rental homes.

Head down to the Southern Gulf Coast of Florida for some of the warmest beach weather around. Gulf beaches give you great ocean sun sets, a wonderful treat for those residing on the east coast. The “Tranquility” bay home is a great combo of resort-style living and private residence quietude. With space for the whole family, this three bedroom home sleeps 8 and has 3 full baths.

Plenty of waterfront and beach activities are just steps outside your door. A private boat dock is in the back yard. It’s a perfect spot for fishing. Bring your boat down so it can have a last dip in the water before summer ends too. Even if cool September winds blow off the bay, the ocean is perfectly warm from the hot summer. If fresh water is better for you, take a dip in the heated pool.

Want a bigger last taste of summer? Lemon Bay, the location of this delightful vacation home, is also home to a great Labor Day festival. Golf and fishing tournaments as well as boat races commemorate the pioneers who settled the area in 1896. Follow that up with a huge parade and you’ll feel like a local.

Manasota is known for its local, homey feel. No high rises or traffic lights out here. Just miles and miles of pristine Gulf beaches and relaxed people enjoying them.
