Those succulent Maryland blue crabs aren’t the only magnets pulling you to Ocean City–although, in fairness, they’re a very compelling reason to go.
It’s your family reunion in a Ocean City vacation rentals that brings you back year after year.
Like Destin and Myrtle Beach, this East Coast beach town is a pull for broods big and small. From efficient condos to multilevel townhomes, lodging is plentiful and caters to all price points.
For our money, the family-only property pictured boasts a lot of value for its location and amenities. Just steps from the oceanfront, the five-bedroom home provides guests with resort-style treats such as a clubhouse, indoor and outdoor pools, walking trails, plus the creature comforts you’re accustomed to in your own casa: an island kitchen, five TVs, four DVD players and four VCRs.
Should your group spill over, the home fronts to a neighboring property with an additional five bedrooms. Your only worry–and thankfully cleaning won’t be one of them since a housekeeping fee isn’t charged–is securing the activity tags needed to access the pool and clubhouse ($85 upon arrival).
Anglers, listen up: Ocean City happens to be known as the White Marlin Capital of the World and will host the White Marlin Open on Aug. 5. For sportsmen who prefer their seafood the clawed, appendaged-type, there’s a crabbing pier at the Sunset Island property for those late-night runs.
And let us tell you … There’s nothing like that hunky meat. Period.
