Some details of Chelsea Clinton’s wedding will never be revealed to the public, but we do know this: The bride wore Vera Wang, her parents Oscar de la Renta and the ceremony wasn’t as star-studded as was anticipated, unless you count Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen.
It was a gala that Rhinebeck, N.Y., won’t soon forget, but let’s take it back to where Chelsea and Marc actually met: Hilton Head, S.C.
Vacationwise, it’s a golfer’s paradise and a beach lover’s mecca.
With that wide, peaceful stretch of sand and the Harbor Town Lighthouse as a backdrop, it’s easy to see how anyone, including the First Daughter, could start a romance here.
During our glance at Hilton Head vacation rentals, the above four-bedroom property, complete with two master bedrooms, beach toys, beach chairs and bike path access, snagged our attention. Available for $1,700 a week from Aug. 11 to Sept. 7, the retreat couldn’t be closer to the beach, a 5-minute stroll away. Thank goodness, because as a previous renter pointed out, you’d have to pay for parking otherwise.
If you’re not a beach person, spend the day by the private pool or at your own personal tiki bar.
