The Shelborne.

No, it’s not the name of a luxury car, but the hotel certainly has as much style. And in South Beach, looks more than matter.

The owner of the pictured South Beach vacation rentals provides a more compelling motivating factor than aesthetics, though: “My price is approximately 25-50% below those offered by the Hotel or Major Travel Sites, like Expedia, and a fraction of the cost of these other Hotels.”

Other hotels, meaning next door neighbors The Delano, The Setai, which have counted Missy Elliott and Madonna among their celebrity clientele.

So even while you’re paying reduced rates off your own Sobe getaway, there’s a good chance you’ll be partying among the stars in luxe clubs and the general star magnet that are Ocean Drive and Lincoln Road. You’ll need those extra dollars for the velvet rope.

The owner of the Shelborne properties has three units for rent (starting at $69 a night depending on the date): two standard studios and a studio suite. Both boast new bedding, kitchenettes, HDTV, a poolside bar and pool. The studio suite has a glass block divider wall that separates the living room from the bedroom for added privacy and comfort.

The property owner even uploaded a photo of the vacation rental license issued by Miami Beach. What do you think landlords? Nice touch or unnecessary? Talk to us on Twitter @checkincheckout.
