Seeing “4 nights for $400″ advertised on Colorado vacation rentals is just as enticing, if not more, than those Black Friday circulars teasing 50-inch LCDs for $499.
Why? Well for one, it isn’t as predictable.
Whether you take the owners of the featured townhouse up on the Thanksgiving special or book a future trip, the three bedroom property is well worth its rates ($125 a night or $650 a week through Dec. 18). The Winter Park vacation rental has an enviable address–especially come winter, when active travelers descend upon its nearly 3,000 snowy acres and more than 600 miles of biking, hiking, alpine skiing and snow shoeing trails.
The appeal of the Red Fox Cabin isn’t all about playing in the snow, however.
For quiet time indoors, walk to the nearby indoor pool and hot tub or gather ’round the fireplace with your marshmallows and cider. You’ll be thankful for the warmth, and that you didn’t have to stand in line at 2 a.m. for that last TV at Best Buy.
What you have is better.
