Home away from home, great place for families
June 21, 2015
So I was concerned after reading some reviews, however I'd like to say it was very pleasant, clean, and fun... let's start with the check in... I called ahead to check to see if we could check in early since we were to arrive 3 hours early... no problem treated us like VIP... no sales pitch, didn't tell us we had to just hope you enjoy your stay can call us if you need anything.... The room: It was spacious, clean, and had everything I needed... we stayed in building 30 room 303A...perfect location to the rear exit and right next to Kmart... it was just far enough from the pool since it gets pretty loud but not to far to walk... make sure to bring or buy enough dish wash soap and detergent.... it was nice to have a washer and dryer in the unit, though the dryer is extremely loud... The hot water situation was a challenge at first... just make sure to run the faucet to get nice hot water.... The resort: Clean, busy, but relaxing.... 3 pools plus one for my 20 month old which was nice... arcade was great for my older children even for my hubby... They gym: gym was just right unless you need classes... 3 treadmills, 2 elipticals, free weights starting at 5lbs, a few machines... the one thing I wished they had were classes like zumba, kickboxing... they do have water aerobics if you like that stuff... Restaurant: Not very good though... my family eat there our last night... I got a burger, fries, and a classic frozen marg. I was sick my last night.... I'd recommend eating at any of the other restaurants located a few min. away.... Location: Perfect... 15 min to Busch Gardens, 7 min to Walmart market place, 10 min to the outlets, 1 min to Kmart, and you are near so many pancake houses and restaurants.... We would definitely stay here again... great for families. ..
