Hi, I'm Bob!

We are two long time friends who bought this building together and lived in it for the first 8 years before we converted it to a vacation rental in 2007.

We have been listed with this site continuously since October 2007.

We are both lifetime Chicagoans. Feel free to ask us for a copy of our guest guide even if you decide not to stay with us. If you mention what you're interests are and what you plan to do here, we'll send you the files that we think will help you to plan and enjoy your trip.

We completely renovated this building and both apartments for our own comfort. There are many nice amenities that you normally won't find in a rental.

We have 2 really great vacation rental apartments. You will definitely enjoy staying here. We are close to all the attractions of Chicago & our convention center McCormick Place. It's 10- 15 min by car or cab or a 15- 20 minute train ride from everything that Chicago has to offer....

Stayed four nights for a trade show at McCormick and will stay here again next time this show is in Chicago. The deli around the corner recognized we were from out of town, and asked us if we were staying at Bob's place! You cannot get friendlier than that. This is a $15 Uber ride from McCormick. The steam bath is incredible! Bob has placed hand written notes around the place to answer questions before you even think to ask. If there is a renter on the upper floor and you are on the lower floor, you will be able to hear their footsteps. If that might irritate you, consider another place. It didn't bother us at all. You will get to pick your own 4-digit key code. Owners have thought of everything and are very responsive to emails prior to arrival. They really want everything to go well. It's clean and comfortable. The building is quite old, with all modern conveniences. If you are an Orange County, CA princess you may not enjoy the older "feel" of this building. Hard wood floors throughout. Yes, I'd stay again.
