Booking now for 2015 Hear the waves crashing at high tide 30 feet in front of cottage and the smell of salt water in the air. Comfortable window seat that faces out to the ocean for breath taking summer sunrises. To me it's everything a beach cottage in Maine should be. Ocean...

Great Pet Vacation

“ Excellent ”
June 3, 2015
We stayed at Blue Pearl in the offseason, early May 2015, with our 2 Great Pyrenees pups (8 months old). We all loved our stay. A # of walks during the day. They loved watching the ocean and people and dogs walking by during the day. A stone's throw to a great restaurant w/take-out (necessary if you have pets). Very enjoyable and looking forward to doing it again.

Perfect Maine Cottage

“ Excellent ”
October 14, 2013
This little cottage (and its owner) could not have been more sweet. The owner went wa-a-ay out of her way to be kind and make us feel at home, even coming over to turn on lights and the gas fireplace when she discovered we had been delayed and would arrive after dark on a cool Maine night. The home is an older beach cottage, but it is full of character, color and charm. We loved it. From the deck you can see the ocean, and I fell asleep each night to blinks of color from not one, but two distant lighthouses! Steps from the ocean, and several mornings we walked to the mouth of the Saco River to watch the lobstermen and fishermen heading out to sea for a day's work. We arrived 'out of season' so were treated to peace and quiet. I would have liked bicycles a little newer, and a bike for kids. The roads are perfectly flat and it would've been so fun to ride. I was uncomfortable not having blinds or curtains to cover all the windows at night, but the lacy lighthouse blinds are lovely! It is a short walk to a beach that is 'swimmable' and wide. We had a ball!
