Hi, I'm Dick!

We are a couple in our mid 60s. Dick is retired after 42+ years as a Realtor and Veegie is Branch Office Administrator for a local stock brokerage firm. We have 4 grown children, 4 wonderful grandchildren, and 2 Cairn terriers.

We manage and maintain Afton Cottage ourselves. We have enjoyed meeting over 200 guests since we converted our rental cottage to a vacation home in October 2007.

As native Virginians, we are quite familiar with the area and enjoy recommending favorites to our guests.

From We live just up the hill from Afton Cottage. We are close enough to be helpful but, far enough away to give you complete privacy. We were on Vacation Home Rentals several years ago and have returned in January 2013.
