Hi, I'm Patrick!
My wife Linda and I are both retired educators. Our dream of owning a home in Florida started many years ago after visiting a relative in Fort Lauderdale. After many years of saving, we finally reached our goal and purchased our townhouse in Panama City Beach. We chose PCB because of the southern charm and pace. If was nothing like Fort Lauderdale's congested roads and crowded beaches. Our clean white sandy beach is never crowded and our view of the Gulf sunsets can't be topped. We love sitting on the deck and watching and listening to waves of the ocean and to the calls of the sea birds. We often take our beach chairs down to the waters edge and stay late into the evening to sit and relax as the waves gently roll in around us.
On a practical note, with restaurants, a pharmacy, and a supermarket across the street, we love not having to get in the car to get a loaf of bread or some sunscreen. The Sand Bar Restaurant is a 1 minute walk and they have friendly staff, wonderful oysters, and cold beverages at a great price. We love going there for a quick snack or lunch. When we something a little more upscale we often walk down the beach to Pier Park where you find great food, shopping, and entertainment.
As one of our sons said "no one can be unhappy here".
