Late Review

Wonderful little place. Loved the space for the pups to roam, they enjoyed exploring as much as the rest of us. As well as sun bathing on the upper deck. Though having them along may be why we didn't see much wildlife. This was the last cabin trip Peanut, Chihuahua, got to go on before she crossed the rainbow bridge. We love the house and spacious yard, and enjoyed the hot tub a bunch. The covered area next to the hot tub, fire pit, and grill - were great ways to start and end days. Most of us rarely have time for home cooked meals, so our vacations are often mostly about laying around resting, eating, and visiting. We had everything we needed to cook our meals in the kitchen. The super sized checker board was also a hit! The living room was very cozy and homey. But a review wouldn't be proper without voicing any cons the group had. There were only two big ones we thought folks should know so they don't get upset if they didn't like it. The big one being the master bedroom downstairs(It was super awesome, dogs loved the little fireplace.) isn't really private. No door blocking from the rest of the house, so careful how you're dressed while sleeping. Also the venting is open/shared with the living room. We didn't mind, though it was a surprise our co-renters were hearing our conversations before we realized it. Though it is understandable why this was done, to some it may lead to unwanted eavesdropping. Second was the other downstairs bedroom openly shared with the water heater and plumbing pipes. If you don't mind the noise from the heater & pipes, it's fine. Though one sleeper in that room had to get use to it to sleep. ie: New/strange place to sleep, learning to ignore the little house noises. Overall we highly recommend this house, it's awesome and one of the top rentals we've ever stayed in. We'd love to stay again, though it holds lots of memories of Peanut there as well as another pup that was lost this year to cancer, Dakota. (It was the first time we thought we lost Peanut, but she started breathing again, so it was the start of a long goodbye.) But we keep this contact saved for future trips we may go on! Thanks for such a canine friendly rental! (really with our group it's hard to find such wonderful accommodations!) The group said if you were to upgrade anything, a nice big tub in the downstairs bath would have the vote.
