Quiet Retreat Near It All

“ Excellent ”
August 26, 2013
This beautiful, cozy, spacious, well-appointed home is the best of all worlds. Located in the West End between the center of town to the east and the beaches of Herring cove to the west, it's a short walk to the key attractions of Provincetown - and an even shorter bike ride (and there is a bike rental shop conveniently located right at the end if the block). The kitchen is huge and has direct access to the indoor dining space, the outdoor dining space and the breakfast nook. It also has a dual dishwasher setup that is beyond clutch, especially if you're primarily eating in. Bedrooms are spacious with plenty of closet and drawer space and the modern bathrooms are light and airy. And speaking of airy, there are powerful AC units in virtually every room of the house that are more than a match for the summer heat. The landscaped outdoor space is gorgeous with plenty of seating in the back for both dining and lounging (word of advice, though: invest in some citronella candles at the outset. Those PTown mosquitoes can be gnarly...). The tree cover and the sloping topography of the property combine to make the backyard space feel quite cozy and private, which is actually a key feature of the property overall - it feels like a private, secluded retreat despite its proximity to everything that's great about Provincetown. If you want a place right in the middle of the action on Commercial, this may not be the right place for you. But if you want convenient access to that action while maintaining a restful place to retire to at the end of the evening, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better property than this one.
