Hi, I'm Joseph!

Hello and welcome to my Maine Camp. I am in my seventies and retired from a company called Performance Learning Systems that I founded many years ago to provide children with the best trained teachers in the world.

After growing up and working in New Jersey, I now live in California. I bought the Maine Camp while attending a summer teacher training at Colby College. Lake Wesserunsett has been a great place to visit in the summer. I love to swim every day I am here and I enjoy celebrating the surrounding beauty with my friends and fellow teachers.

If you have any questions, please call me or send me your number in an email and I will call you back.

I think you will find the lake and my camp to be an inviting place to relax and unwind.

Joe

More fun than I expected!

It probably sounds odd that I didn't expect to have as much fun as we did, but I rented this camp because it was a very convenient place for four adults to stay comfortably just minutes away from where my mom lives, and was preferable to any local motels. The camp was so well-appointed; everything we could think of was there and we had many meals overlooking the beautiful lake. We had no trouble accommodating 18 people for a big cook-out one day, and everyone had a blast with the paddle boat and two kayaks (and the large fire pit!). There was lots of firewood and we had a fire almost every night. The lake was very quiet and peaceful at that time of year, and we saw and heard the loons every day. My daughter and her boyfriend had to work while they were there, and they found the internet slowed down with both of them on it all day, but her boyfriend did not mind going into Skowhegan to the library and to the Bankery and using their wi-fi. I think the internet would be fine for normal family use. The camp was great for some of our party that have allergies, as there are no carpets. The camp was clean and comfortable. The only thing that would make it perfect would be a half bath on the third floor, but if you've ever tried to rent a place in Maine, you know to be thankful for two full baths. We would definitely be happy to stay there again.
