Adorable Little A-Frame
September 4, 2013
We stayed in this cabin the third week in August and we just loved it. The queen bed upstairs was very comfortable. We loved the updated kitchen and bath. Even though the cabin was small, it didn't feel cramped. The only negative was a small hot water heater, but that wasn't a big issue as it was only the two of us and we just shortened our showers. We loved going down to the lake and sitting on the rocks to listen to the loons and watch the stars come out. It was so quiet that the loons were the only things we heard. Incredible! We did a lot of paddling in our kayaks and never did the same paddle twice. The lake is huge! We got to meet the owner and her daughter towards the end of our week, and both were delightful and interesting women, entertaining us with stories about their times in the cabin. It is a short drive to Rangeley for shopping (try the New England clam chowder at Sarge's). Prime rib night at Bald Mountain Camps is a must, but make reservations! All in all, we had a wonderful week. Would we come back to this cabin again? Absolutely!
