March 30, 2015
We just finished our spring break vacation in NYC from 3-23 to 3-28 2015 with party of 8 people . We stayed in this apartment #1. This apartment located on second floor of the building . There are 2 more floors on top of us . This apartment has 3 bedrooms , a living room , kitchen and one bathroom. At first, for 8 people, one bathroom was an issue but we managed to take turn using it. So after the second day it was no longer an issue. Beside we spent most of our day outside visiting places from 10am to midnite.
The landlord lady Marta is very nice, although we did not have a change to meet her but she was very helpful when we have a toilet problem. She sent someone to fix it for us.
The apartment itself is adequate for 8 people for short term stay. It is not spaciously clean but functionally works fine.
The biggest problem is parking. We drove our rental van from DC to NYC. When we got to the apartment, there was one parking spot right in front of the apartment. With one of our people had the California handicap parking placard, we used this parking spot without paying any parking fee. We verified this with the NY cop who parking right behind out van. He said it is no problem if we have handicap parking permit. That was a big help. Otherwise it is impossible to find a parking spot on the street.
Other than the toilet problem we encounter on the first day, we have a very good experience with our stay.
The front bedroom and living room are noisy from the traffic on 9 street. The back bedrooms are very quiet. Whoever sleep on the living room and front bedroom will need earplug
The location is excellent. Short walking distant to Time Square and subway stations. Food and other services are around the corner. I would highly recommend this apartment for your vacation.
