A retired Speech therapist from Michigan. I have owned the "Shack on the Sand" for 20 years and have always been in love with the place. My motto for the "Shack" is "If it's not there, you don't need it." My guests love the place as much as I do. The only thing that ever disappeared from the "Shack" is an "Uncle John's Bathroom Reader", and to be fair there is a shelf of books that may be taken home by guests if they want them, and maybe Uncle John was left on that shelf.
The unit is up to date and always changing. Indian Rocks Beach is like "small town America" The locals have a community spirit and patronize the local businesses to keep them healthy during the "off" season.
During the real estate boom many buildings like ours disappeared. We updated a little bit and survived. It is rare to walk directly out your door and onto the beach. That is the most favorite and special benefit to me and most of my guests.
