The Perfect Antidote to Winter in Ohio
February 6, 2012
We just spent two glorious, warm, sunny weeks in this Siesta Key condo and can't wait to go back. The condo is perfectly situated - it faces the Intercoastal Waterway and the beach is just across the street. Each morning we awoke to beautiful sunrises and watched the boats, kayaks, and wildlife navigate the Intercoastal. We were just steps from a kayak storage and launch area - one of several amenities (others included a heated pool and tennnis courts) available to us. We're not golfers, but one couldn't help but notice how many great looking courses nearby there are to choose from. From the condo's location, it's an easy drive to so many interesting and diverse places - from downtown Sarasota to St. Armand's, Longboat Key, Casey Key, and Anna Maria Island, to name a few. Each is unique and worth seeing. Also, you'll never, ever go hungry here. The available cuisine is so diverse - anything from superb seafood, to authentic Italian, to Amish specialties. Breakfast and brunch venues are particularly popular. As for the condo itself, it is very nicely appointed and its provisions are exceptional. We lacked for nothing. Cable TV, WiFi, books, DVDs,and board games are all onsite. It is a first floor location and as such its entry is just steps from the carport. We also agreed that it is one of the quietest places we've stayed in - there was no extraneous noise from neighbors, etc.The condo's owners are extremely attentive and responsive -offering to share with us their favorite places and things to do.All in all, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Siesta Key. This was our first rental experience in the Sarasota area. We hope to return to the area and to this particular condo next January. It defintely was the perfect antidote to our Ohio winter.
