Hi, I'm Maria!

Hi, I'm Maria. Thanks for considering Casa Palomita for your stay in our beautiful Oaxaca. I bought a home in Oaxaca and completely renovated it with the help of some wonderful people. The men and women (!) put lots of love and skill in almost every corner of Casa Palomita. They said they loved working on this house, that the energy in the house and the quality of the work inspired them. One day I watched the master stone smith spend two hours carving the fountain with his chisel, he would make a mark then stand back and study how the water fell into the basin, then go back and make another chisel and over and over until the water fell just right. It was beautiful to watch. You will find many artisans like this in Oaxaca, they spill into the street. I work in public health here in San Francisco and plan to move to Oaxaca when I retire. Until then, I wanted a place to share with family and friends old and new...a place where they felt totally at home and would return and return. I priced it so that it would be very accessible. My daughter, Paloma, and I welcome you to our home and ask that you make it your own while you are there. You will leave making a new friend in Jorge, I promise that.

We had a wonderful stay at your home and you have obviously devoted much thought and effort into ensuring a positive experience for visitors at Casa Palomita. It is a comfortable walk into town, particularly nice along Los Arcos.Manager Lu was great and very helpful. I'm sure our travels will bring us back to Oaxaca in the next year or two and I hope that it works out to stay at your place when we return to Oaxaca.
