We purchased our two cottages in Birch Bay in 2003 and 2004. We have refurbished and remodeled several homes so we knew we could do the same with these vintage cottages, while keeping their original charm. We like things that are quaint but modern in functionality, so these have the "right" look and the "right" function. The cottages appeal to us, too, because they are so close to the beach. No packing up the gear and then hauling it back again. You just go out to the beach whenever you feel like it. We liked the restaurants and shops being an easy walk, too. Also there's a boat launch just across the way where we and our neighbors launch our small boats for crabbing. Hope you'll soon share in the joy of our laid back community.
