Hi, I'm Mary!
My dream was to own a cabin in the Great Smoky Mountains. I have been visiting GSM since late 60's. My husband, Mason, and I purchased the cabin and love visiting Hunker Down. We live in SW Florida so a trip to the mountains is such a treat for us.
We love the location and it is close to everything. We purchased this cabin because the property had room to enjoy as it is not on top of another cabin. Another plus was it is not hanging over a cliff. The yard is large and plenty of room for the kids to play. The street has five cabins on it but each property is over 1/2 acre and we own up the back of the mountain. There are no cabins directly in front.
We enjoy sitting outside either on the porch at the pub table or by the grill and relaxing . We enjoy both the summer and winter view of the mountain, the quietness of the area and relaxing.
