Very nice place, recommended
December 2, 2014
We stayed in this home in The Villages for the month of November 2014. It was our first time in The Villages, indeed our first time vacationing in Florida. The agent we dealt with, Janet Sweeny, was personally very nice, and on the whole did a decent job of handing the rental details with us. However a bit more info up front would have been useful. For example I asked her a few questions via email about specific things regarding The Villages, and she just said, in effect, wait 'til you get there, all will be revealed (she herself lives in The Villages). Similarly, she only told us AFTER we had spent considerable time cleaning the place on the eve of our departure that we needn't do any of that. On the positive side, when I forgot to send my rental payment on the due date, Janet was understanding.
When we arrived, the internet service wasn't working. Janet put me in touch with the owner, Mike Jacks, who was quick to get the service provider on the problem, which was solved a couple of days later. (Thanks Mike.)
The home itself is very nice... considerably more spacious than we had expected. It's a bit "older" in terms of decor etc, but still perfectly nice, comfortable, and enjoyable. It is fairly well furnished in terms of kitchen/cooking facilities. The master (king) bed was comfortable, and the large shower was perfect. It comes with the usual Villages amenities - e.g., golf cart. It also came with Netflix, an unexpected bonus. It is nicely located in the middle of the northern end of The Villages, and has a great lanai, and a lovely yard, garden, etc. My only minor complaint about the place is that it is a bit dark inside... but I expect most places there, especially of that era, are similar. All-in-all we were extremely happy with our month on Trinidad Court. Highly recommended.
