Born in Gettysburg, PA, Jennifer grew up with her two brothers and grandparents. After graduating from Penn State University she worked as a Public Relations and Development Director for various non-profit organizations.
In 2005, Jennifer stopped working full time and moved to Philadelphia to pursue her Masters in Education in Recreation Therapy at Temple University. It was there that she worked with acute care intensive girls ages 13 to 22-years-old at a psychiatric hospital and found her life changed.
Having lost both her grandparents at the age of sixteen and embracing the immense commitment to raising her young brothers, seeing the lives of so many young women impacted by similar loss and the disastrous effects motivated Jennifer to look for ways to affect change.
In 2007, Karch returned to Happy Valley looking for property to establish a grief therapy farm for girls. It was through this endeavor she met her second husband long time Centre County Realtor Brad Karch. Jennifer splits her time helping her husband in the property management office and following her passion for helping girls become strong self-loving women.
