Greetings,
Jamaica Beach Retreat is a former fisherman's cottage that was a weekend vacation home until it was completely remodeled in 2006 and downstairs remodeled again in 2009 after IKE. I lived there full time until 2011, enjoying the peace and space of the beautiful West End of Galveston Island. I was a trial attorney for 20 years and now am a Special Education teacher in Oklahoma City area. Rather than sell my beloved beach house, I decided to rent it out so others could enjoy the awesome space. I love that you can see, smell and hear the ocean from the deck and if you get up early enough, you can see the sunrise over the ocean to the east, and then watch the sunsets from the deck to the west. Jamaica Beach is a wonderful community, that includes a restaurant, convenience stores, and hardware store 2 blocks from the house. You can easily walk to the beach, go fishing, go to the State Park, or go to the bay. My trusted caretakers Janet and Tina will handle your check-in--PLEASE arrive within 30 minutes of your stated arrival time for check-in.
