Hi, we're Jimmy and Ita!
We vacationed on the West Coast of Florida several times. The azure Caribbean-like ocean waters; quiet beaches, gentle waves really drew us to the West Coast, near the beautiful, serene, white sands of the Gulf of Mexico beaches. We just loved the area; one could say we actually fell in love with it. It was only with an artist's eye and the artful eyes of our children, coupled with Jimmy's pragmatism, that enabled us to see just how beautiful it really could be to own property on the Gulf of Mexico coast. Our enthusiasm for buying a place, not only to rent out, but to vacation in ourselves, was definitely an impetus as well. The added benefit of renting out while still visiting for our own vacations is that we could keep a good eye on everything, take care of any repairs and keep adding and upgrading. The West Coast of Florida, which has so much to offer, made the decision for us. I am an artist/teacher/writer and Jimmy is an MD, and a PhD in science. They are on opposite sides of the spectrum professionally, but we perfectly complement each others point of view. I guess that's because we each have a genuine interest each other's professions and we share many other interests. Designing with so much artistic input was a lot of fun. We were blessed with having a very large creative family; six now married and two still at home. We are a very close-knit family and after spending some time by ourselves, we also greatly enjoy spending time with each family, in turns of course. The many entertaining things to do took care of the rare cloudy days. There is also the element of artistic culture that we all enjoy and seems to be in abundance. With so much to choose from; magnificent beaches, Myaka State Park, The Everglades, ferry to Key West, shopping of any type, restaurants, Cafes, ice cream parlors, elegant center of town, Parrot Jungle, alligators, galleries, bike riding, long walks..and all types of water sports from para sailing to paddle boating. And who doesn't enjoy
