Hi, I'm Jeanine!

We recently purchased Snowy Bluff, a spacious cabin located in the Black Hills of South Dakota. The Black Hills is one of our favorite destinations for our family and we are excited to use the cabin so we can enjoy the beautiful surroundings. As the original owners of Snowy Bluff have in the past, we will continue to operate Snowy Bluff as a rental cabin for others to enjoy as well. This cabin has been second home and rental property since it was built in 2001. Snowy Bluff is located in Lead, South Dakota and is near snowmobile trail 7A, a hop, skip, and a jump away from the Mickelson Trail, and quick drive away from the ski slopes, golf, fishing and the night life of Deadwood. Some of our families favorite things to enjoy in the area are: Snowmobiling, fishing at Pactola Lake, tubing at Mystic Mountain, skiing at Terry Peak and of course, historic Deadwood.

2013 SD Family Vacation

“ Excellent ”
June 17, 2013
There were 7 of us coming from Indiana to SD. Only 3 of us had ever been there before. We had not wanted to stay in a hotel so we checked out a rental property that was listed as being totally secluded and high in the Black Hills, but centrally located to all of the sites of interest. This property actually slept 12 so we had plenty of room and individual privacy when needed. Three levels allowed the young people to take over the basement level, which also had the pool table, fuseball table and hot tub. The upper deck provided plenty of seating space to appreciate the beautiful view and sounds of the wind speaking through the ponderosa pines; which is a magnificent sound. Just down the lane was a deer feeding stand so we were constantly in the company of the local wildlife. One morning my husband even caught sight of a doe grazing on some grass just outside our bedroom window. Another morning our daughter in law (a very early riser) was out on the deck and heard an elk across the valley. Also, on one trip back up the mountain our granddaughter spotted an elk grazing on a hillside. The cabin had everything we could need for a wonderful week long vacation; washer and dryer, plenty of couches, all the kitchen necessities, fantastic cathedral ceilings in the great room with full windows to the ceiling overlooking the majestic Black Hills, with open concept dining and kitchen area. Flat screen TV's abounded with Direct TV and all the movie channels you could want. The owners of this property certainly were honed in on making their guests happy and satisfied. The decorating theme gave us a glimpse of the Black Hills area of long ago, which we all appreciated. We would highly recommend this property as a vacation destination, and the owners were very gracious and informative every time we conversed. The entire process to rent the property was very easy. After our arrival the owners even checked on us with a call to make sure everything was ok and to our satisfaction. Hopefully we can return to Snowy Bluffs in the future, it is definitely top on our list.
