Hi, we're The Cranford's Mike and Rebecca!
Living between Cape Cod for our summer business & Costa Rica where we also have vacation homes available to rent, we enjoy brief stays when we can get away to the Maine woods. With aging parents in Colorado, we find most of our free time now is spent there. SO we invite you to enjoy the cottage. We call it our "Illusion of Seclusion" because the cabin is nestled right in the towering pines, we have been told by the tree experts they are over 1000 years old!. Literally nestled- the cottage is surrounded on all sides by towering pines which give Maine its description of the "pine tree state". Also known as "Vacation Land" you'll find that the illusion is being hidden in the woods is really nice. We are so close to getting to many attractions-within minutes. You can even walk to a few really good local restaurants.
We love being there when we can. In the meanwhile, we invite you to enjoy the river, the mountains & the many places to explore in the Western Maine Mountains & Lakes Region. You will enjoy the cottage without nosy owners hovering over you as happens at many rental homes and cabins in Maine where the owners live right next door!
