Hi, I'm Mary!

Hello and thank you for your interest in my cozy cabin.

This historic cabin is 75 years old and is where I raised my daughter and lived many wonderful years in Nashville. It is secluded on 8 acres next to Long Hunter State Park. There is an abundance of wildlife around the cabin; birds, turkey, deer, and my two barn cats. The 40 foot private pool and large patio make for a perfect balance of nature and luxury. Large hardwood trees loom on the property. It is secluded, yet shopping, movies, restaurants, and groceries are two miles away. It is also 17 miles from downtown Nashville.

The cabin is rustic, with hand hewn logs that are polished on the interior. The decor and beauty of the hand hewn logs on the interior of the home give the rustic cabin a sophisticated feel. It is cozy and charming and you are surrounded by nature and privacy.

There are two bedrooms, a master with a king size bed, and a second bedroom with a full bed. The paned windows in the bedrooms look out into the property, seeing deer or turkey grazing by is always delightful. There's a den for watching t.v. and playing gams, a living room for reading and conversation, a dining room in the center of the cabin. The bathroom is located between the two bedrooms, it has a shower and whirlpool tub with a window that allows you to enjoy the nature outside. It is small but well equipped. There is a large front porch and huge back patio …perfect for coffee in the morning and bird watching.

About the area. The neighboring state park offers paddle boats, canoeing, and hiking . There is also a paved running/hiking trail around the lake. You can drive two minutes to that..or walk down the street which dead ends to a trail that leads to the paved path. wonderful for a morning walk.

Magical entrance up a tree-lined drive to a comfortable cabin. Next to a state park with plenty of wildlife in both the park and on the grounds (though I still haven't figured out why one of the turkeys was so intent on trying to get into our car). Cabin itself comfortably furnished; very nice owner. Two large, comfortable bedrooms. One bath might have been a drawback had we had more than four in our party.
