More than lives up to expectation

This 'cottage' was very comfortable for our group of 7. We were pleasantly surprised on arrival on how well equipped it was. As promised, there were lots of towels including beach towels and sheets for the beds. There was also sufficent supply of shampoo, conditioner, soap and toilet paper in the bathroom. In the kitchen there was olive oil and a few other items generally needed for cooking, a good supply of paper towels, and dishwasher soap. There was also laundry soap in the laundry area. The beach area is well equipped with 2 large inflatables, kayaks, and some small inflatables for the children. Adult life jackets were available. Young children need to bring their own. Water shoes are a good idea. Water entry is Stoney for the first 5-10 ft. but stays shallow for a good distance. The cottage has a fire pit in the backyard and some games available including badminton. The only thing missing was air conditioning. The owner, Lauren, is thinking of adding that. Even without it, we found sleeping was comfortable with the ceiling fans. The front porch was a wonderful place to sit in the evening and the back porch is now also a covered porch so we ate most dinners outside even when it rained.I should mentioned that Lauren lives 2 doors down. She was very friendly and helpful in getting us set up. She is available if needed. One of the best things is this cottage was a 2 hr. drive from home. Using the 407 both ways instead of the 401, we missed all the congestion that was on the 401. There are grocery stores within a 15 min drive of the cottage so no need to take up all supplies.
