Hi, I'm Penelope!

My husband and I have been coming to Key Largo Kampground from IL for many years, so when the opportunity came to own this home, we jumped. We have invested alot of love in the home. One of the best things is walking out on the Tiki dock with coffee- ahhh!
When we retired, we moved to Englewood Fl on the West coast; we vacation in Key Largo in the summer.
We love to snorkel, dive, lobster [yummy],& fish. I am busy viewing fish in the canal for hours, kayaking, biking and painting: local scenery, Tiki poles lanai front, you name it.
Favorite places to eat are Mrs Macs, The Mandalay, & Buzzards Roost.
There's a lot of great music around.
We love to share the Keys experience and are sure you will become addicted too.

Playa Penelope - As Advertised

“ Excellent ”
January 20, 2015
Playa Penelope was a pleasant and peaceful little retreat. Penny's efforts to assure that the trip went well and that all information about the Florida Keys and access to her vacation home was readily available. We appreciated the fact that Penny sent periodic updates and suggestions for things to do while in Key Largo and the Keys in general. Easy, close access to a supermarket, restaurants and a mini farmer's market made the accommodations even better. The "cottage" was on a boat canal with wonderful views of tropical fish and an occasional tiny jellyfish floating by. The neighbors were all respectful of each other's desire for quiet and relaxation. A very accessible, large pool within the campground was a wonderful respite from the heat. This is an ideal retreat for a couple to get away from the craziness and cold of a Pennsylvania winter for our anniversary. Thanks Penny! We would definitely return in the future if possible.
