Marco Island - Waterfront Home
February 18, 2014
We had a wonderful time during our one week stay on Marco Island. It was an 8-10 minute walk to the beach (maybe 1/3 - 1/2 mile away), but we especially enjoyed just staying at the house and watching the up-close marine life swimming by. We saw dolphins almost every day - one of which swam back and forth under the private dock and along the sea wall. We also saw several stingrays flipping around catching food. It was 81+ degrees and sunny the week we were there - we couldn't have asked for better weather. We ended up going to the beach in the mornings because of the constuction work 3 lots down that began at 8:00 AM Monday - Friday. The work was usually done by 2:30, so we could spend quiet afternoons by the pool. One night, we were outside in the dark, and although we couldn't see it, we could hear a dolphin very close, breathing through his blowhole. Out of all the wonderful things the house and Marco Island has to offer, I think we enjoyed the marine life most of all. I would definitely recommend this house and look forward to coming back!
