Hi, I'm Robert!

WE (Jan Bob Thelen) are from Lansing Michigan and have been visiting the Smoky Mountains the past 30+ years. After visiting the area on many occasions we had an opportunity to purchase our duplex cabin. After looking at many cabins we felt Big Bear Lodge had the amenities we desired—close to all activities but still quite peaceful. We purchased in 2002 when the resort was being developed. For eight years we worked with various rental management companies and were never satisfied with the services they provided. In February, 2012 we decided to rent on our own so we could have more control over the rental process and provide a better experience for our guest.
