A Place to Find Peace

“ Excellent ”
January 23, 2014
We stayed 3 nights at the Lake Lodge and wish we could have stayed for the rest of the month. You walk in and feel like you've come home. Great set up, clean, clutter free, environment perfect for two, or for a large group. We had two other couples join us for a retreat and had lots of room. big kitchen with everything we needed. There was a big and fabulous DVD and board Game collection. I can't stress enough I felt like I had come to a second home. And the Girls LOOOOOVED the pillows! where did you get them! The 80 acres were a dream to explore, lots of fresh air surrounded by hills you feel like you are the only one for miles. When by the lake you are surrounded by the peace of the woods. Our second night we got a few inches of snow (glad we had no where to go!) and we saw deer tracks, fox, coyote, and bunny tracks from the night before. We did hunt in the evening of the first night but did not have deer that came by our stands. The property manager was kind and friendly, we enjoyed meeting him and his wife. All in all a great place to press the reset button. Sad We had to leave and hope to plan another trip as soon as we can. Maybe next time with our kids as there would be lots for them to explore, and an opportunity for board games and movies when the sun goes down. We left with memories we will keep for a lifetime and the peace that comes from getting back to nature and the simple pleasures of friendship.
