Relaxing Trip

“ Excellent ”
March 19, 2014
For our recent trip to Puerto Vallarta, I was in charge of selecting the location with an affordable price range for two other couples. My wife and I have been in Puerto Vallarta in the past and normally stay at a beach resort. The trip for our friends was the first visit to the city. We all agreed that the location was great and the facility was spectacular and the price was more than reasonable. The three rooms each had a private bathroom with a shower. The kitchen and living room were clean with nice furniture with a TV. Our terrace provided us with a nice view and the infinity pool located on the top floor provided us with an even greater view of the city. The main street running along the beach was Avenue Mexico and it was only four blocks away so very easy to reach even though we walked and are all elderly. A few minute walk after reaching Avenue Mexico you reach the Malicon which is right on the ocean front with all the shops and restaurants. If you ever get the opportunity to rent this location we found a great little restaurant on 1208 Avenue Mexico called Cesare Restaurant. The food was great at a very reasonable price and if you get the right table, you can have a nice morning breakfast while being able to people watch while eating. Try the Chilacuilas, you won't be disappointed. If you feel adventurous, take the tour to the little mining town of San Sebastian. The trip is between four and five hours but worth the time. The town was established in about 1550. Not much has changed since that time which makes the trip worthwhile. They grow their own coffee in the area and of course you can buy a pound or two and bring some home to share with your family. Plan on having lunch while visiting which is what we did and enjoyed it very much in an atmosphere becoming rare. On the trip you will also stop at a tequila factory where you will not only learn how good tequila is made but also get to purchase some to also bring home. We had a fantastic trip and look forward to returning again soon. With good memory's and a great experience we would not hesitate in recommending Casa Vallarta Puerta del Sol to anyone interested in visiting Puerto Vallarta .
