I'm a retired school teacher happily married to a retired engineer. We live in the mountains as much as possible, but since our kids live in Florida, we go home in the winter. Up here in the mountains, we have a garden, raise four spoiled chickens for eggs, and hike quite often. The weather is fabulous here - not so hit. We're outdoors as much as possible.
We rent cabins and really enjoy the people we meet. A number of folks rented from us, came back again and again, and now have their own spot in the Smokies.
I love this area as it's not crowded, very beautiful, and offers me so many, many things to do. I think I must be a moutain girl at heart.
