Awesome house

“ Excellent ”
April 30, 2015
My husband and I stayed at the bungalow as first time snowbirds, from November 1 through April. The house is just as nice as the pictures show and had absolutely everything we needed. The owners thought of everything. The wi-fi was fast, and there is also a DVR with the tv which was a bonus! The location on the canal was quite nice and the pool, decks and fenced in yard were perfect for us and our two pets. There is not much to do in Hudson, but we did find lots to do farther south, in Port Richey New Port Richey, Tarpon Springs, Dunedin, etc., although we had to travel 1/2 hour plus most of the time. Hudson Beach, although pretty, is very small and we had trouble finding parking quite a bit. Sam's Beach Bar, which we loved, is a big draw and the parking lots fill up quickly. We ended up going to the Dunedin Causeway a few times to "beach" it, which was very beautiful and has free parking. The only thing that was a real turn off is the road leading to the house, which is in very poor shape and full of ruts and bumps. Really had to drive very slowly and watch where you're going. Some of the properties are also run down and unattractive, but once you get to the end of the street where the bungalow is, the houses near it are fine. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe, we had no problems or issues with anyone or anything. It's just too bad that some of the properties are in less than desirable condition, it kind of takes away from the overall ambiance of the area. We would definitely recommend this property to others, just be aware that it probably won't be what you expect when you drive down the street to get to the bungalow. But we liked the general area so much we ended up buying a property in an RV resort and can't wait to experience our second winter in sunny Florida. The weather certainly beats the cold and snowy north!
