Cape Coral Travel Resources

Cape Coral, Florida is frequently referred to the “Waterfront Wonderland” because it has more miles of canals than any other city in the world with 400+ miles of navigable waterways! If that doesn’t make Cape Coral a great destination to visit, what does? If endless supply of waterfront isn’t enticing enough, Cape Coral averages 355 days of sunshine a year.

High on any list of ‘things to do’ in Cape Coral has to be a trip to Sun Splash Family Waterpark. This place is amazing! Compared to most waterparks, Sun Splash is very affordable and clean, there are slides and activities for kids of all ages, and there are even active lifeguards on duty.  While the kids are running around exhausting themselves, there is a Lazy River for the adults to float around and catch up on some sleep, and who doesn’t like a Lazy River?!?

While Cape Coral is a great place to visit year-round, a surprisingly exceptional time to head to Cape Coral is for the Fourth of July. For Independence Day, the city hosts its largest event of the year, ‘Red, White & Boom,’ – a fantastic display of fireworks that the local Chamber of Commerce puts on each year. In fact, it’s the largest fireworks display in Southwest Florida so be sure to get there early and get a good seat!

Due to its multiple beach accesses, it’s no surprise that day spent at the beach is the best way to spend a day in Cape Coral. So pack your swimsuit, and don’t forget the sunscreen and get to Cape Coral ASAP!
