Fort Myers Travel Resources

Fort Myers is located in Florida’s Gulf Coast, and enjoys an average high temperature above 74 all twelve months.  Due to the undeniably relaxing nature of the city, Fort Myers has long been a winter destination for snowbirds most commonly from the northeast.

There are plenty of golf courses in Fort Myers to keep the golfer in the family entertained. Colonial Country Club, Eagle Ridge, and Miromar Lakes Golf Club are considered to be some of the nicer clubs in the area, and each has unique characteristics that make it fun to try them all!

La Fogata and El Gaucho Inca are two of the many delightful restaurants in Fort Myers that contribute to this surprisingly diverse culinary community.

Two Major League Baseball teams call Fort Myers home for their Spring Training activities – The Boston Red Sox, and the Minnesota Twins. As you might expect, this results in many of the occupying snowbirds migrating from those two cities, respectively.  In fact, the Red Sox recently built a brand new stadium in Fort Myers, so you’ll definitely want to swing over, check out a game and enjoy a nice faux Fenway Frank.

If shopping is your game, then the Miromar Factory Outlet Mall is the name. This place is fantastic, and it’s impossible not to find a great deal here.

Fort Myers has long been a terrific, safe and family-friendly destination to travel to, and will likely stay that way for a long time. Use the Fort Myers Travel Resources below to help you set up your trip plans today!
