Another popular nickname for New York City is ‘The Five Boroughs’. The city is comprised of five Boroughs that are all actually separate counties, and carry unique characteristics; the boroughs are, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and the Bronx. For vacationers, the most popular borough to visit is Manhattan; it’s home to many of the most famous neighborhoods like Central Park, Times Square, Wall Street, Greenwich Village and SoHo.  Brooklyn is known for its artists and culture, but more recently has transitioned into hotbed for style, fashion and pop-culture.  Queens is actually the largest borough in land size, and is famously diverse. The Bronx is perhaps best known for being home to the New York Yankees, the heralded Bronx Zoo and the NY Botanical Gardens. Finally, Staten Island is a large island south of Manhattan that is the most rural of the Five Boroughs.  

What makes New York City so great is the amount of options available. Because of the population size and diversity, establishments of all kinds can succeed. The result is a smorgasbord of things to do, shows to catch and food to eat.
