House overlooking a Beautiful lake (#3018)

Just returned from one of the BEST vacations ever & we didn't have to fly or drive far to get there! We've stayed at places from Moosehead Lake to Bar Harbor, from Cape Cod to Newport and from Squam Lake to Stowe and this was by far the most comfortable we've ever been! A lovely lakeside property where the homeowners thought of everything. We loved kayaking/hiking mornings, building a "fire" in the real fireplace evenings to watch the moon rise over the lake and listening to the loons cry at night. I loved the nearly new washer/dryer, a kitchen I could really cook in (w/plastics provided for leftovers) and the spotless bathrooms. The kids went tubing, I could swim, avg. temp. 76, in a clean, clear, spring fed lake, my husband could fish. There was more than enough room for multiple family&friends to visit. We found a local farmer w/fresh veggies, eggs & meat; a quikstop/coffee shop w/homemade baked goods AND enough fun, quiet & relaxation to last a long time. We'll be back!!!
