We were met by our lovely host who did all he cold to make us welcome. This apartment is ideal for a family of up to 5 or two couples. Set a few minutes away from the hubbub of busy downtown Amsterdam it was an easy 10 minute bike ride to anything we wanted to see or alternately a bus/tram ride away. The apartment had many delightful perks; artistically decorated, lots of art books, great light from two sides. Compact & very well equipped kitchen with a terrific supermarket around the corner. Small details, like having olive oil, spices and balsamic vinegar so that we could make a nice salad for dinner. An espresso machine, gas range and so forth. It has a small bathroom shower, but what can you expect from a 100 year old apartment building? The wifi was a big help as we travelled with a laptop, but there was computer for use as well. I would be happy to spend another week or month there and would not hesitate to suggest this to friends or family. A fabulous overall experience.
