Beautiful 2BR Apartment, Great winter Rate! (#38570)

We were a family of 6 staying for a week in Manhattan and we were thrilled with the location of this apartment right beside Central Park in a lovely safe neighbourhood with restaurants, delis, subway stations and laundromats on our doorstep. The apartment was spacious and nicely decorated but there were some problems - it was a ground floor apartment beside the hallway and we heard the noise of other occupants going in and out, the heating system was also very noisy and on through the night so it disturbed our sleep, it was also dusty as there was building work going on while we were staying as the owners were renovating the apartment block. The owners were approachable and helpful but there was little they could do about the heating and it was just bad timing about the renovation work. Overall we had a wonderful holiday in a great location but I wouldn't choose this particular apartment again. The owners have other apartments to rent in the same area - maybe check those out.
