Additional Comments:
"First of all, owner Ursula Middel was a delight to work with - honest, efficient and prompt in her responses. Her home is modern, sunny and well-appointed and has all necessary amenities. Lake Pauline (pictured) is much larger than it appears in the picture and is connected by the Black River with two other, larger lakes. The small, circular dam between Lake Pauline and the adjoining Lake Rescue is quite interesting, if not unique. The surrounding southern Vermont countryside, including Green Mountain National Forest is quite beautiful. Calvin Coolidge's Homestead in nearby Plymouth did not seem like a very interesting prospect to all of us initially, but we soon all found ourselves entranced by the trip back in time to Nineteenth Century Vermont that it affords, and in the end we regretted that we had to leave. There are many good restaurants in neighboring Ludlow."
